About the work: “Doctor With a Mission” is a tribute to Psyche’s principal investigator, Dr. Lindy Elkins-Tanton. An homage to Johannes Vermeer’s “Girl With a Pearl Earring”, this piece shows Dr. Lindy with a pearlescent Psyche-16 asteroid, and celebrates all she has done for this mission and more.
