As the actual composition and origin of Psyche is a bit of a puzzle, I thought it was appropriate to turn the 3D conceptual model into a bit of a puzzle. This model also evokes the metallic nature of the asteroid by turning it in a series of gears, which are typically made out of metal. The gears all turn to disrupt the shape of the asteroid, and ultimately bring it back together again.
The 3D files to print your own and the OpenSCAD code to generate the model are all available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3728180
