PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The project: Traveling Space Art Exhibit aspires to enhance the accessibility and reach of artworks created for and inspired by the NASA Psyche mission through the creation of pre-curated exhibit kits. These kits contain a diverse range of artworks created under the Psyche Inspired program, spanning from jewelry to large-scale paintings to digital art. The project also entails creating a matching system between the parties interested in hosting an exhibition, and the curated kits that would best suit the environment, location, needs, and capabilities of the interested venues. By partnering with interested parties such as museums and libraries, the project seeks to facilitate the loaning of these kits to venues across the United States, enabling broader exposure to the mission’s goals and achievements. Opportunities lie in fostering community engagement, expanding educational outreach, and promoting collaboration between artists, educators, and space enthusiasts (see Appendix E). Through curated exhibits and associated events, the project aims to inspire interest in space exploration, scientific discovery, and artistic expression while establishing valuable partnerships and networks within the broader community.

This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Michigan State University Capstone Course “AESC 410”, and “SCM 472”.
