PROJECT DESCRIPTION

For the first time in history, the Psyche mission is set to explore an asteroid composed metal rather than rock or ice. Timeless Psyche, an innovative web-based Augmented Reality (AR) application, offers you a unique opportunity to journey through each milestone of this mission timeline, right from your camera!

Unlock the wonders of space exploration with a simple scan of the QR code, launching you into an immersive journey through the cosmos. Then, as you navigate through the AR experience, maintain your device camera’s focus on the marker to seamlessly intertwine the virtual adventure with the real world.

This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Pennsylvania State University – Behrend Capstone Course “SWENG 480”, and “SWENG 481”. The work is a result of the Psyche Student Collaborations component of NASA’s Psyche Mission (https://psyche.asu.edu). “Psyche: A Journey to a Metal World” [Contract number NNM16AA09C] is part of the NASA Discovery Program mission to solar system targets.
