PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This project worked with the three digital models of Psyche with the main goal of making it so that all three models can be 3D printed by anyone. This was done by editing and improving the models to make them easier to print and then testing various printing methods to discover which methods use the least amount of filament, print the fastest, and make the printing process easier overall.

This work was created in partial fulfillment of the Cleveland State University Capstone Course “MCE 450”. The work is a result of the Psyche Student Collaborations component of NASA’s Psyche Mission (https://psyche.asu.edu). “Psyche: A Journey to a Metal World” [Contract number NNM16AA09C] is part of the NASA Discovery Program mission to solar system targets.
