About the work: Dr. Lindy Elkins-Tanton is a planetary scientist and professor with expertise in planet formation and evolution. She is the face of the NASA Psyche mission, not only because she is the Principal Investigator, but also because her leadership and perseverance are what will propel this mission to success. The mission is looking to provide a deeper look into space and ultimately give us a better understanding of the Universe. I wanted to give the illusion that Lindy is another constellation in the galaxy. I have also included Lindy’s astrological sign of Virgo as a tongue-in-cheek nod to another belief system (astrology), which has been rejected by the scientific community as having no explanatory power for describing the universe.
