Voyage is a kinetic sculpture consisting of a wood frame overlaid with a vinyl image of the mission’s trajectory and LED lights. The frame holds three 3D printed Psyches highlighted by black light and seen through holes in the perspective space along the trajectory. LEDs light up and asteroids revolve in sequence. The sequence is meant to convey the journey there, the reverse cycle signifies transmitting of gathered data.

Consisting of five panels mimicking stained glass, this piece depictions the Psyche asteroid and her orbiter with Mars and Jupiter on each side. Light can pass from either direction, creating projections on surrounding surfaces. One side is smooth and the other textured. This piece can function multiple ways, symbolizing the many possibilities we can learn from the Psyche mission.

The black void of space is quickly filled with a time-lapse of a virtual asteroid being digitally drawn. A small satellite with a curious look on his face glows a neon purple and looks at the asteroid from afar. Psyche the goddess is pictured with brown hair and a purple flowing dress lying on top of the metallic core of the asteroid with dark smoke surrounding her after various collisions. Gold and silver crystallization emerges out of the figure, representing different materials thought to form Psyche. Behind the smoke is the black galaxy with faint stars. This piece utilizes four shades of a color from the original brown masonite. Psyche is depicted in the lightest shade of brown, and the background (outer space) is the darkest shade of brown. These dark brown areas of the engraved piece are cut a layer deeper into the masonite compared to the other lighter shades of brown. Psyche is seen exploding in the lower right-hand corner, fragmenting into chunks and shards.

This piece shows trajectory lines framing Psyche. The project highlights the asteroid and shows the Psyche orbiter dancing with the space object. Black, purple and pink clouds were painted with rosy golds to create visual interest. Psyche is painted in the middle towards the right with rings of gold around it, signifying paths the Psyche orbiter might take. Spray paint gold was used to make speckled stars and clouds of gold in the background.

'Contemplation' is a short animation featuring the Greek goddess Psyche and the Psyche asteroid. The goddess is represented by a handmade puppet made from wire, foam, fabric, clay and wool. She wears a pink and gold dress. She holds the asteroid , which turns it in her hands while her eyes are closed. This piece is a simple representation of Psyche with an emphasis on rays of light surrounding the asteroid. The rays extending out from Psyche represent the many different angles from which the asteroid will be observed and analyzed. Lines from varoious angles are drawn to show the Psyche asteroid in all its glory.

Large peaks rise around edges of a large crater in the center of the piece with small craters surrounding it. Illuminated, the detail of the craggy texture of Psyche’s landscape is emphasized. Shades of white, yellow, and orange create the highlights. Shades of reds and purples form the shadows of the peaks and craters.
