Exploring Deep Space with Maxar

At the beginning of the space race of the 1960s, Maxar was a commercial partner on the pioneering Apollo program, and now has been building reliable spacecraft for more than six decades. Our partnership with NASA runs deep, and we continue to progress on three missions that will advance humanity’s study of the universe.
Maxar is collaborating with NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) and Arizona State University on the first mission to explore a metal-rich asteroid, rather than one of rock or ice. This mission will travel to the main asteroid belt to explore how our planet was formed.
