About the work:

In my animated GIF for “Psyche: The Journey to the Soul,” I explore the profound relationship between the goddess Psyche, the Psyche asteroid, and the journey of self-discovery. The goddess Psyche, symbolizing the soul, undertook a quest driven by love to unite with Eros, her beloved. This narrative serves as a powerful metaphor for our own journeys of introspection and exploration.

The Psyche asteroid, currently being studied by scientists, is believed to provide insights into the core of our planet, acting as a tangible representation of Earth’s soul. Just as the asteroid is a treasure trove of knowledge waiting to be uncovered, our own inner selves hold the keys to our personal truths and aspirations.

My artwork illustrates a path of a light symbolizing the soul. This visual metaphor encourages viewers to uncover their own essence, to seek inspiration, and recognize the beauty of the journey itself.

By connecting these themes, I aim to inspire others to engage with their own experiences of self-discovery, akin to the mission of the Psyche Inspired team, who seek to unravel the mysteries of the Psyche asteroid.
